Sales – 6 hour Internet Design Prep Course & 1 Day Training
The Sales cycle for a PV Electric or Thermal system can become drawn out and costly if proper training and efficiencies are not recognized. Through years of trial and error, Lighthouse Solar has achieved an effective means for shortening the sales cycle, bidding projects accurately and making customers happy. Sales training is beyond simply selling a system, this process includes design, pricing, financial modeling and customer service. Additionally, Lighthouse Solar has developed proprietary estimation software for making this process easy and timely.

Areas of focus include:
• Qualifying the location at inquiry • The site visit • Preliminary design • Proposal generation • Signing the contract

System Design – 2 Day
Designing an electric PV or solar thermal system is a technical undertaking, which requires electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge. Without the proper qualifications and experience, the designer opens the Company up to what can be costly and avoidable risks. Lighthouse Solar provides detailed training for system design for typical residential and commercial rooftop systems. Through the Franchise program, the Company also provides continued support for specialty design such as building integrated systems, ground mount, tracker and carport systems.

Project Management – 2 Day
In the bidding process you have determined the amount of labor hours it will take to complete the Project. Managing those hours is essential to job profitability. Installation projects can easily produce labor overruns, costing the company money and resources while running the project into the red. Coordination with field crews, a working knowledge of typical labor to installation ratios, and knowledge of the local permit process will allow managers to effectively complete a project on time and on budget. Lighthouse Solar’s experienced trainers have years of experience designing and managing projects. Our training program covers the essentials of project management using real world situations. With our Franchise support program Lighthouse Solar Franchising Company continues to offer Franchisees ongoing management support.

Comprehensive Solar PV Training – 5 day

This comprehensive training covers PV theory and practice and is ideal for Franchisees with contracting, engineering or architectural experience. Although all owners are encouraged to attend, this course is mandatory for the Company’s lead installers. The course introduces basic design principles, provides detailed knowledge of photovoltaic components and advances to hands on installation training for rooftop and ground mount systems. This step-by-step course leads the student through the process of assembling and installing system components for successful system integration.

• Solar thermal system overview • Design fundamentals • Pipe working • AC and control wiring • Roofing • Mechanical components • Commissioning and troubleshooting systems

Field Training/Support – 10 days
Lighthouse Solar Franchising Company will provide a field-training technician to the franchise market for your first installation project. Additional support will be provided as needed.

Training for the first field visit will include but not be limited to:
• Project management • Job packet setup • Truck setup • Installation walkthrough and supervision
