How does your purchase power model work?
When you decide to join the Lighthouse Solar ownership network, you join the purchase power of the entire group. Your buying level will reflect that of the entire group rather than you as an individual, so you will benefit from purchase power immediately and benefit more as the group grows. Our executives have close relationships with some of the largest manufacturers and distributors and are constantly negotiating for better pricing.
Where does the Lighthouse Solar owner network buy from?
Our group buys from a list of distributors and manufacturers where we have established relationships with. The largest volume discounts can be received through our sister company Lumos Solar.
What kind of support do you provide Lighthouse Solar Franchisees?
Lighthouse Solar has brought together a team of experienced executives and personnel ready to help you plan your market, train your staff, launch the brand and continually support your business. Our team consists of leaders working in the solar industry; from PV and solar thermal manufacturing to marketing, design, and installation.
What are your royalty and marketing fees? The Lighthouse Solar Royalty Fee is 3% of gross sales. The national Marketing Fee is .5% of gross sales and local advertising spending is 2% of gross sales.
How do I get a copy of your Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD)?
In order to receive a copy of Lighthouse Solar’s Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), please complete the online Franchise Application. Once we have received and reviewed your completed application, we will respond to you with our criteria, or have a representative contact you directly. We will then send out our FDD to qualified candidates.
What is the term of the franchise agreement?
The term of the initial franchise or area development agreement is for 7 years with a 7-year renewal if the franchisee is in good standing and other conditions are satisfied.
What type of training do you provide?
Lighthouse Solar offers a comprehensive training program at our Boulder, Colorado training facility and operating franchise model outlet for up to three persons. This program includes a combination of classroom and hands-on training. The initial training program is approximately three weeks long for the primary operating principal, General Manager and Lead Installer. Additional work study is also available when necessary. Our field training team also provides 5 days in the field for installation support.

A Lighthouse Solar representative will consider your initial application based on your previous experience, your financial capability and your enthusiasm for delivering solar energy to waiting customers.
If approved, we will contact you directly for an informational telephone interview.
We will then send you a 6-page franchise application.
We will then send you our FDD.
You will then attend a Discovery Day at Lighthouse Solar HQ in Boulder, Colorado.
